Delve into the timeless art technique of mono printing during this immersive 3-day workshop, hosted by Terri Jurowski of Terri’s Stamp Pad Store and Workshop space in Wisconsin. Drawing from the expertise shared in the instructor's latest publication, "Gel Plate Printing for Mixed Media Art," participants will master the intricacies of acrylic paints and inks to produce stunning imagery. With an emphasis on printing with unrestrained creativity, learners will uncover the nuances of technique, color theory, and utilizing natural elements to craft truly unique compositions.

Day 1: Introduction to Gelli Printing and Paper Preparation

On the first day, participants will embark on their journey by mastering the fundamentals of Gelli printing. Through hands-on experimentation, they will create captivating textures on various papers and fabrics, integrating old ephemera to enhance visual interest. The session will emphasize technique refinement and exploring diverse materials to expand creative possibilities.

Day 2: Eco-Staining Papers and Fabrics

Day two will unveil the Robyn’s innovative approach to eco-staining papers and fabrics. Immersed in vats of black tea, coffee, avocado pits, and rustic elements, participants will learn to imbue their surfaces with richly textured hues. Demonstrations will guide learners through the intricacies of achieving desired tones and effects, culminating in the creation of visually captivating compositions. Also we will continue Gelli printing, as our vats marinate and sun drenched staining occurs!

Day 3: Transforming Prints into Future Projects

The final day will focus on transforming the fruits of labor into tangible works of art. Participants will seamlessly integrate their prints into bundles, primed for future projects and small books. Through personalized guidance, learners will explore creative avenues for utilizing their prints, unlocking the potential for continued artistic expression beyond the workshop. Throughout the workshop, emphasis will be placed on fostering a supportive learning environment conducive to experimentation and exploration. Participants will receive individualized feedback and guidance, ensuring each student's unique artistic voice is nurtured and celebrated. By the workshop's conclusion, participants will depart with newfound skills, inspiration, and a collection of striking prints ready to adorn their creative endeavors.

Also, participants will appreciate the convenience of having most supplies stocked at Terri’s Stamp Pad Store and Workshop space, eliminating the hassle of transporting potentially messy items during travel.
